We regularly host catered adult courses – accommodating a variety of residential conferences, music and drama rehearsals, and club social gatherings.
Residential adult groups wishing to book our facility benefit from being the sole occupants for the duration of their course with the entire house and grounds usually available for use. Downstairs are a large number of different seminar/training/conference rooms and spaces, providing lots of breakout spaces.
Upstairs, the bedrooms are clean, freshly decorated and comfortable, and whilst bunk beds might not be ideal for some (with bunks in 7 of the 11 bedrooms), some grown ups relish the prospect of reliving their childhoods! Even if they don’t, if total numbers are lower than 37 no-one need use an upper bunk anyway!
We are proud of our reputation for providing excellent home-cooked meals, which are served in our Conservatory and Dining Room. Our experienced catering staff will happily prepare special meals for those in your party with particular dietary requirements.

Burwell House has can provide a homely and welcoming environment for a meeting, training session or conference with a personal touch. We have 2 rooms commonly used for conference groups, each with their own character and a fantastic outlook onto our leafy garden. Being a popular venue for school groups – with the noise of happy children in the distance – lends an informal and friendly atmosphere in which all visitors feel at home.
Meetings can be booked for whole day, half day or twilight sessions and we are happy to provide whatever room set up required. Included in the price of the room hire is access to a variety of AV equipment including wifi or wired internet access, TV and DVD, flipchart, OHP and multimedia projector. There is also access to office facilities, such as a photocopier, with additional charges incurred where appropriate.
We can provide meals at any time you wish – including breakfast if required. Our meals are home cooked by our fantastic catering team and served with a smile. Meals can be provided as part of the overall course cost or, if necessary, we can offer a small canteen style menu for delegates to order from at the start of the day and pay for themselves.
Refreshments can also be provided, at times to suit, including our fabulous home-made cakes and biscuits.
