Booking
Bookings at Burwell House can always be made for the current academic year and the two following academic years. The Centre does get booked up very quickly, and particularly for summer term slots, so please telephone the office at Burwell House on 01638 741256 first to check for available dates and relevant pricing. Please note that we operate a zoned price structure where schools pay different amounts depending on group size and time of year. The office staff will happily take a provisional booking over the telephone.Please remember that your school is responsible for booking coaches etc. Burwell House is covered by the centrally provided local authority insurance which does include public liability. Please check with your county advisors concerning insurance to cover school journeys.
All provisional bookings must be confirmed within three weeks by completing and returning a booking form with a non-returnable £150 deposit (cheques payable to Cambridgeshire County Council).
Sixteen weeks
before your visit an invoice will be issued for 20% of the final
cost. This will be based on the number of children expected at
this time and it is at this stage which we require a firm commitment to
the number of students the school is bringing. At this stage we will
also invite teachers to a planning visit at which they can tour the site,
discuss administrative arrangements and plan a suitable programme.
Three weeks before your visit we need to receive your menu choices and bedroom lists.
After your visit we will issue a final invoice based on the number of children booked. Any extra costs (crafts etc.) will be included in the invoice at this time. We will ask you to complete an evaluation form following your visit to help us to refine our service.
