Head of Centre - James Dawkins
James has worked here since September 2006. Previously he worked at another Centre in Surrey and before this he was a teacher at a Middle School in Norwich. He's also been a paperboy, a go-kart racing marshal and a window cleaner! He's married with two sons, Ben (born in 2008 and Toby, born in 2010. Ben loves Burwell House's garden even more than James James likes Orienteering, Gardening and looking after his Chickens (that's one of his on his back). He supports Ipswich Town (they rule). His favourite Burwell activity is Orienteering and favourite Burwell Meal is Lasagne. |

Deputy Head of Centre - Faye Brickel
Faye has worked at Burwell House since Sept 2009 and loves it so much she bought a house in the village - she won’t tell you which house is hers though. Faye has lots of teaching experience, working with pupils aged from 4 -18 yr olds over the past 7 years. She has worked with cubs, scouts and explorer scouts on camping trips in the UK and abroad, visiting Ecuador, Romania and Ladakh. See if you can spot these places on a globe! You may notice her accent makes her sound a little different – she was born in Bristol on the west coast of England but moved to Norfolk (on the East coast) when still a girl! Before teaching, Faye worked as a volunteer at London Zoo, surveyed fish and coral populations in Fiji and helped to protect sea turtle eggs in Costa Rica. Faye loves being at Burwell House because she gets to eat fab lunches (they’re all so good!)

In the Kitchens
Preparing your meals in the kitchen you will find our catering team. Look out for our fantastic cook Lena (her Yorkshire puddings rise and rise and rise) ably assisted by a masterful team - Wendy (she's everywhere!), Heather (Formula One mastermind), Angie (resident whirlwind), Angela (pizza legend) and Lynn (queen of custard). |

Upstairs Making sure your rooms are ready are our domestic team. Look out for Roseen (she also makes the yummy biscuits), Wendy (she's superhuman), Annette (the fastest bedmaker in the East) and Sadie (make sure your rooms are tidy or she'll have words). They work so fast at making beds that it's impossible to take a photo in focus. Check out the photo on the right - it's the best we could do.

In the gardens
Meet Alfie. He doesn't live here but he loves being here more than the rest of us put together. He'll join in activities in the garden and generally make a nuisance of himself. Watch out for those claws - he's a bit unpredictable. His favourite Burwell meals are bird and squirrel and his favourite Burwell activity is looking very pleased with himself
